On Sunday August 30th we welcomed another church to join with in ministry on the ARPC campus: The New Life Nepali Church. Their pastor is a small, lovely lady – Pastor Mina. Pastor Mina founded a new church in her native Nepal where less than 3% of the population is Christian. She shared with us the persecution she experienced from her fellow Nepali citizens simply because she loved Jesus. Our brothers and sisters in Christ from Nepal, Burma, and the former Soviet Union, Cambodia who have shared this campus with us have been a powerful reminder of a very important fact…

Christians are being wiped out in the Middle East. On his recent trip to Latin America, Pope Francis said…

“Today we are dismayed to see how in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world many of our brothers and sisters are persecuted, tortured and killed for their faith in Jesus. In this third world war, which we are now experiencing, we see genocide take place.”

Genocide: The denial of a person or group of persons right to exist.

Middle Eastern Christians are being exterminated by the Islamic State (ISIS), simply because they are Christian. Christian homes are marked with the Arabic letter “N” for Nazarene. In May Iraqi Sister Diana Momeka testified to the House Foreign Affairs Committee that…

“ISIS plans to evacuate the land of Christians and wipe the earth clean of any evidence that we ever existed.”

Every month our Mission Ministry Team will be leading us in prayer for the persecuted church. Pray that the western church and our government will not abandon them.

The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.” Tertullian

God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you
because of Me
