I sat in the hospital rooms these past few days with Martha – with Sandy – with Eddie and I shared with each of them the same Psalm..

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27)

This amazing Psalm continues on…

How are we expected to do that? We need healing now. We need solutions to problems now. We need more compassion and patience now.

What is that about?

Let the words of the Psalm sink-in. The Lord is “our light and salvation, the stronghold of our lives.” We have nothing to fear when we surrender our lives to Gods hands.

Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be CONFIDENT.

In Christ we all are able to make such a daring and incredible claim. It is confidence that comes from placing our lives in His hands.

A heart of worship is a heart committed to seeking God’s face, surrendered to God’s will, trusting in God’s purposes, and confident of God’s goodness. Most of us are not there yet. How grateful I am for Pastor Aaron and the Praise Team when they lead us in praise singing…
Strength will rise as I wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord. We will wait upon the Lord.
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord.
We will wait upon the Lord.
Our God You reign forever
Our hope our strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint You won’t grow weary
You’re the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

When life swirls around us in chaos and difficulty: trust and wait for the Lord.

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Ron
